🤓Training Intelligently🤓 • Training intelligently takes into account a lot of things, one of them being periodization. Knowing how to break your training regimen into concerted phases where you have a particular goal, a particular adaptation that you’re aiming for. • Currently I am working in higher repetition ranges and chasing for a a metabolic adaption, many may understand it as muscular endurance. However, I am absolutely looking forward to my next strength/ functional hypertrophy phase (flirting with reps that gain muscle and strength) where I drop my rep ranges a bit, increase the weights, and focus on technique, execution, etc. as it pertains to movement patterns more so than just muscle groups. • Here is a clip from one of my last strength/functional hypertrophy (adjusting my verbiage to @musclenerds_health lately) phases where I was doing a 5x5 routine and hit 8 reps on my last set. • Online Coaching/Training Inquiries: besickfit@Gmail.com www.besickfit.com • Check out my “Reinventing Your Wheels 2.0” Lower Body Focused Training Program by clicking the link in my bio. • • • #throwbackthursday #throwback #humpday #glutes #classicphysique #lowerbodypro #legday #legworkout #trainsmart #besickfit #onlinecoach #personaltrainer

🔥Humpday Postponed🔥 • Well because IG has its major malfunction yesterday, my glue focused post was postponed to today🤓. • This single-leg RDL variation differs from any that I’ve posted before in its added stability from having a sturdy object to hold on to. The 125lb dumbbell was pretty tough for me on this day as it followed some gnarly split squat action, usually I would be able to put up 20 reps pretty easy with this. • The added stability of this RDL gives one the ability to place more focus and intention on using the working legs glute. In a given program I would want something of this nature providing stability to increase load AND another hip hinge (or single-leg lower body movement) variation that challenges balance/stability. That’s not to say they need to be in the same training block/phase, but within several months time would be warranted. • Online Coaching/Training Inquiries: besickfit@Gmail.com www.besickfit.com • Give RYW 2.0 Advanced Lower Body Targeted Program a try, link in bio. • • • #lowerbodypro #legday #legworkout #glutes #humpday #booty #besickfit #onlinecoaching #onlinetrainer #personaltrainer #workout #exercise #motivation #trainsmart #fitness #bodybuilding #bikini #npcbikini #classicphysique #physique #figure #getitgetit

🐫Hump Day🐫 • Yeah, the glutes are obnoxious but this is really about hamstrings. This particular movement is a bit more advanced, and a requisite competence and proficiency in a traditional good morning and deadlift variations should precede it. • This Smith Machine Good Morning is done in a fashion that biases your hamstrings greatly. Make sure your abdominal wall is braced and descend by pushing your hips back. You can have a degree of fixed bend in your knees or more of a “locked” knee depending on your personal preference. Descend to a point of decent hamstring “stretch,” but not to 100% of the stretch you could accomplish. Now, drive your heels in the ground to initiate movement back up. Only come up to roughly 80-90% full range of motion in order to keep tension and intention in the hamstrings. Be methodical and focus the entire time with this movement to get the benefit. • 2-3 sets of ~10-12 with the shown tempo should be sufficient. I would have this exercise somewhere mid-to-late in your regimen after you’ve already done a leg curl/knee flexion based exercise to get blood in the targeted tissue. • Online Training/Coaching Inquiries: besickfit@Gmail.com • RYW 2.0 Lower Body Focused Training Guide (more advanced) link in bio. • #humpday #legday #legdayworkout #besickfit #lowerbodypro #hamstrings #glutes #trainsmart #bodybuilding #figure #classicphysique #physique #exercise #musclenerds
